Compliance Officer
Description:

International Advisory Bank is looking for an experience Compliance officer for their New York based Global Compliance team.  The position provides expertise and functional support to help drive development, maintenance and full integration of compliance programs and supportive culture for all divisions and locations of the Bank. This person will report to the Group Compliance Officer and will be the main point of contact for all regulatory bodies located in this jurisdiction. The successful candidate will develop, implement, and monitor all aspects of the program to ensure full compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements and additionally be responsible for ensuring Conduct of Business rules are being followed.
 
Requirements include: a deep understanding and experience with banking business practices; Must be able to identify, assess and advise upon regulatory needs and risks relation to marketing, delivery and development of bank and broker-dealer related products; Provides prompt and appropriate guidance to business leaders with respect to issues including sales, marketing, product development and operations. This person is the key point of contact for regulators and must be experienced in dealing and managing all regulatory bodies on an ongoing basis. Must be capable of ensuring open regulatory inquiries are dealt with in a prompt manner. The successful candidate must develop and continually enhance working knowledge of company policy, applicable regulation as well as industry trends and should have an in-depth knowledge of anti-money laundering compliance requirements for the business, including all aspects of terrorist financing. 

A Legal background is not a requirement but must have a proven track record to understand legal and regulatory concepts and be able to convert them into simple, relevant business requirements. Strong relationship and leadership skills, with proven ability to add new subject areas and must be able to work in a global, matrixed environment that spans multiple legal entities and teams.  This person needs to be capable to balance business/market opportunities with regulatory and reputation risk.

Derivative Support Analyst
Description: Global financial services firm is looking for candidates to support their DTCC Derivatives support group. Candidates should have experience with at least one of the following derivative groups:  Credit, Equity, FX, Interest Rates.  On a daily basis responsibilities include DTCC account management for portfolios for customers and ensuring trades are uploaded and executed within a timely fashion.  This will involve heavy interaction with the front office including the trading, legal and sales teams for resolution of DTCC queries.  You will manage the internal reconciliation system for DTCC on a daily basis; highlight any alleged trades that are a risk.  You will draft derivative documentation for a range of products ensuring queries are handled and resolved quickly. 

 

Requirements include a good knowledge of at least one derivative group mentioned above and knowledge of documentation or DTCC.  The successful candidate must be a strategic thinker to anticipate where business and competitors are going to continuously refine business strategy.  Must have the ability to anticipate risks and obstacles and devise plans to manage them.  Must have a high degree of integrity, strong communication and leadership skills.  There are junior level and senior level positions available, depending on each individuals background.

Description:

Global trading advisor is seeking a Market Data Manager to play a lead role supporting the research group, providing the development of the data library and serving as the data guru for the team.

Responsibilities for this role include: This person will collect, clean, organize, locate and create datasets. They will manage real-time data entitlements and reconcile data billing. This person will also ensure completeness of pricing databases. Assist researchers in creating or transforming data and perform data research and data analysis toward the development of strategies

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Ideal candidate will have MS; PhD desired
  • Will have demonstrated track record of superior achievement
  • Must be comfortable with financial data and its use in the investment research and analysis process
  • Understanding of statistical concepts and practical experience working with large data sets
  • Excellent technical and analytical skills with an ability to assimilate and clearly explain volumes of data
  • Programming skills are a plus

Compensation is open, commensurate with experience.  Relocation will be provided if needed.
